Caritas Zambia hold a stakeholder consultative meeting with Lufwanyama Town Council, the mines and the general public to outline the importance and obligation of the
Council Chairperson.
Lufwanyama District, is approximately 130 Km’s from Ndola, the Provincial Capital and 455 Km’s from Lusaka, the Capital of Zambia. Lufwanyama is bordered by Kalulushi, Kitwe, Masaiti, Mpongwe, Luanshya, Mushindamo, Chingola Districts.
Lufwanyama was part of Ndola Rural District, until its establishment by an Order of the President in 1997. This was necessitated by the vastness of Ndola rural and the need to bring service delivery closer to the local communities. Ndola Rural District was then split into Lufwanyama, Masaiti and Mpongwe Districts.
