Lufwanyama Town Council, through its Fire and Rescue Services Department, has launched a comprehensive community sensitization campaign aimed at increasing public awareness of the department’s services and reinforcing its vital role in ensuring public safety.
The sensitization program, which includes community outreach activities, school visits, and interactive demonstrations, is designed to educate residents on fire prevention, emergency response procedures, and the overall mandate of the Fire and Rescue Services. This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to building a well-informed and safety conscious community.
The department’s mandate includes not only firefighting but also rescue operations, emergency medical response, hazardous materials handling, and public education on disaster preparedness.
The Town Council urges all residents, institutions, and business owners to cooperate with fire personnel during visits and to take full advantage of the information being disseminated.
