LUFWANYAMA TOWN COUNCIL HOLDS MANAGEMENT MEETING TO REVIEW AND STRENGTHEN COUNCIL LODGE COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS

Lufwanyama Town Council has held a management meeting aimed at appreciating the efforts of the management and overseeing the commercial venture of the Council Lodge, while also addressing existing challenges and identifying strategies to build on the lodge’s strengths for improved performance and sustainability.
The meeting brought together Council management and key officers responsible for the administration and operation of the Council Lodge. It served as a platform to review the lodge’s performance, recognize progress made, and openly discuss areas requiring improvement in order to enhance service delivery and profitability.
Speaking during the meeting, Council management commended the lodge team for their commitment and resilience in managing the facility amid operational and economic challenges. The Council acknowledged that the lodge remains an important revenue generating asset and a key contributor to the Council’s financial sustainability, however there is need for more improvements and ensure the venture is improved to the best standard.
The meeting also highlighted the lodge’s strengths, such as its strategic location, growing customer base, and potential for expansion and improved branding. Participants agreed on the need to enhance marketing strategies, improve facility maintenance, and strengthen financial management systems to maximize returns.
Council management reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the lodge through policy guidance, capacity building, and resource mobilization, while encouraging the lodge management to maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service.
The engagement concluded with a shared commitment to work collaboratively towards transforming the Council Lodge into a more competitive and sustainable commercial enterprise that contributes meaningfully to local economic development and improved service delivery for the people of Lufwanyama.
